Becoming a CYP Member is easy! If you think Membership is for you (and if you've stuck with us this far, it likely is), please follow these easy steps to start your membership:

Step One: Complete A Membership Information Form
By completing your Information Form, you are enabling us to stay in touch with you so that we can keep you informed of all the exciting things happening with CYP and also allowing us to know what your interests are so that we can better serve you. Don't worry, all that information is just for us to better categorize our membership - we won't sell your information to someone, publish your age or even give out your information without your okay!

Step Two: Pay your dues!
You knew this was coming didn't you? Really, we're not taking your money and treating ourselves to pizza every month. By paying your dues you are helping CYP to cover administrative expenses (details like post office boxes, SCC registration, insurance), minor marketing expenses (flyers, ads) so that we can grow the membership providing you with even more fun people to meet, and supplementing the cost of some of the major activities and events (quarterly parties, for example).

Annual dues are $35 a year and payment is requested by January 1 of each year. Where else can you have this much fun for thirty-five bucks while making a contribution to the growth of your community? Make your check out to "CYP" and then you can either mail it to CYP, P.O. Box 6681, Charlottesville, VA 22906 or give it to someone on the CYP Board. If you've moved to the area after June 30 and would like to join for the remainder of the Membership Year (through December), please contact our Membership Chair, Brittany Asher for dues information.

Do you have a PayPal account? We now accept dues payments via PayPal. Just use this button for a quick link to make your payment and email us your membership application so we have all your pertinent contact information.

Note: please note that membership dues are nonrefundable.

Step Three: Attend Events and Get Involved!
There are a variety of ways for you to become involved with CYP but you must take the lead! First, we encourage attending the events that show up on the calendar each month (I'm sure this surprises you) -- such as our regular bi-weekly Happy Hours, dinners out, quarterly parties, or anything else that you see that sounds interesting. Most of the membership focuses their energy on attending these fun events, and so by joining us regularly you'll meet more people quickly and start to get to know our "regulars".

If you're still reading, you just might become a CYP die-hard. In that case, our committees would welcome your input and fresh ideas. Please visit our CYP Board page and peruse the different Board positions. Just about every board member either has a committee or could use some help - if you are interested in Special Events planning, for example, talk to our Special Events Chair. Feel free to contact any board member directly to express your interest in helping out - they'll be delighted to have some new help!
